Have you ever thought to yourself “I just want my teeth whiter!” ? Are you happy with the shape, size and alignment of your natural teeth? Is the color the main issue? Whitening might be your solution!
Whitening treatments can be done in-office as well or at home with either dentist-supplied products.
With our KoR Whitening system, we can deliver predictably exceptional results with a few simple visits!
The process:
- – After confirming you are an ideal candidate for whitening, you will have an impression taken at your first appointment to create a custom KoR-seal tray (this will be worn in between in-office visits for at-home whitening).
- – To begin whitening we will apply potent, effective, bleaching agents to your teeth for 20 minutes at a time. Three, 20 minute rounds of bleaching will be completed for optimal results.
- – After your in-office bleaching treatment, you will wear your KoR whitening trays for a minimum of 14 consecutive nights while you sleep. (For patients with more difficult stains/tetracycline cases, increased time of at home whitening is recommended prior to the next in-office visit)
- – Patients will return for a second visit for an in-office application of KoR whitening.
- – Periodic maintenance is required for permanent results
KoR desensitizing agent is applied before and after each in-office treatment in order to minimize sensitivity following the procedure.
KoR whitening is the only whitening system recognized for its’ ability to whiten tetracycline-stained teeth in a short time. It was previously thought to be impossible to remove deep tetracycline stains.
Most patients have little to no sensitivity with the KoR whitening system. However, a small percentage of pateints do experience sensitivity. Tips for post-op sensitivity:
- – Sensodyne ProNamel Toothpaste or Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Toothpaste with Pro-Argin Formula is recommended!
- – When additional sensitivity is experienced, the patient can be instructed to take NSAIDs (if the patient has no contraindications)
- – Use KoR desensitizer multiple times per day
- – Wear trays every other night
- – Patients can also try cutting back to 20-45 minute at-home whitening per day instead of wearing trays all night.
